- Very Very Slightly (VVS1-VVS2): These are minute inclusions that are very difficult to detect under 10x magnification by a trained gemmologist.
- Very Slightly (VS1-VS2): These minute inclusions can be seen with difficulty under 10x magnification.
- Slightly Included (SI1-SI2): Minute inclusions which more easily detected under 10x magnification.
- Included (I1, I2, I3). Inclusions which are visible under 10x magnification and are also easily detectable by the naked eye.
